Associate Attorney Matthew G. Mestayer, Byrd & Wiser

Attorney Matthew G. Mestayer of Byrd & Wiser in Biloxi, Mississippi, practices in the areas of personal injury, bankruptcy, and business law and litigation.

Mr. Mestayer is a member of the Harrison County Bar Association, the American Bar Association, and the Mississippi State Bar. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Spring Hill College (1990) and his Juris Doctor degree from the University of Mississippi (1993).

Mr. Mestayer carries on a family tradition of helping individuals and the community through the practice of law. He believes in providing the kind of personal service that nurtures long-term attorney-client relationships.

He has served as an Ocean City Judge since 1998, where he has heard and ruled on thousands of cases. His professional activities include work with programs for at-risk youth and victims of domestic violence. He presents seminars for women’s advocates and programs to prevent underage drinking, and was the recipient of the 2004 Gulf Coast Judicial Award.

A father of three delightful young children, Mr. Mestayer enjoys fishing, scuba diving, and sailing in his spare time.
